...not for that guy that we are looking for, whom ever that is. However, I finally found this spider that has been creeping me out for the last few days. This is a Wind Scorpion also known as the Camel Spider. A few days ago this spider reared is ugly, scary, creepy, not to be messed with (by me at least) head around my desk a few days ago. I glanced to my left as something scurrying across the floor caught my eye. It was him. He was quick too. By the time I jumped to my feet to find this thing, he had disappeared. He ran under this guys bag that lies next to my Rubbermaid container that hold my 75lbs of sugar. I had to protect the goods. The spider then later appeared much closer to me as he walked around my trash can, and then away as he then moved under then shelves that are next to my desk before I could act. I was totally suffering from from the heebie-jeebies the rest of the day. I refuse to set my feet on the ground while at my desk.
He must have known that I was looking for him, as he went into hiding the next day. However the day after, as I was talking on the phone with my mother, I spotted him, as he was walking away from where I sat. I looked as if he came out from under my chair. I told my mother to hold on as I went into covert attack mode. My I set the phone down not so gently and my mother could hear the sounds from my boot hitting the floor as at went from covert attack mode to vigorous spider stomping mode. The first stomp I just hit one of his legs. This I think angered the creature as he began moving really fast making me scared and called for a more vigorous stomp. I missed a few more times as the accuracy level was much worse with the increased vigor. The final blow was delivered to the head and movement slowed to a stop. Once it looked as if he was dead, I quickly stopped as I could see that I was more accurate than I had thought. Stomps almost seemed surgical in nature as most of the body was still intact.
With this now harmless really scary dead thing, I knew that no good could come of this. So I made sure that this happened. I picked up the spider with a piece of paper and placed him behind a few boxes of batteries and a roll of tape that are nonchalantly placed next to the laptop on the computer. Now we wait for an unsuspecting battery seeker to pick up the box of batteries. Hopefully girly screams will be herd though out the day.
